Brenna Kearns is an Attorney at Relman Colfax. She joined the firm in 2022 and practices in the civil rights counseling group.
Previously, Brenna clerked for the Hon. Deborah L. Boardman of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. Before that, she was a fellow at the James Byrd Jr. Center to Stop Hate at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. At the Lawyers’ Committee, she litigated civil rights matters, supported individuals impacted by hate, and advocated against white nationalism in law enforcement. She also served as a legal fellow and regional voter protection director for the New Hampshire Democratic Party in 2020.
While in law school, Brenna worked for the California Department of Justice’s Consumer Section, the East Bay Community Law Center’s Consumer Justice Clinic, and the Civil Rights Unit of the Oakland City Attorney’s Office.
