Esmeralda Hermosillo joined Relman Colfax in 2023 for a two-year term as a civil rights paralegal. Her work focuses on supporting the firm’s civil rights litigation and counseling practices.
Esmeralda graduated from Georgetown University with B.A. in Government and a minor in Spanish. During her time in Georgetown, she was an intake volunteer for the Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs. There she was able to translate intakes from Spanish-speaking workers seeking legal advice during the height of the pandemic. Esmeralda also worked for her university’s Social Justice Center as an English tutor for students of immigrant backgrounds in D.C. For two consecutive summers, Esmeralda interned for her congresswoman back in Detroit, MI. During Esmeralda's second summer in the office, she became a Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute scholar that focuses on leadership development within the Latino community.
In her free time, Esmeralda enjoys spending quality time with her friends, going antiquing, and watching a good show.
