Taylor Gaskins joined Relman Colfax in June 2024 for a two-year term as a civil rights paralegal.
Taylor graduated with a Master of Divinity degree from Candler School of Theology (Emory University) in May 2024, with a concentration in Theology and the Arts, as well as certificates in Black Church Studies, Baptist Studies, and Women’s Studies. Taylor earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Spanish from Grinnell College (IA). In her professional career, she has worked as a student assistant, a theological artist, and a communications and development Intern at The Jesus Center, a nonprofit seeking to support unhoused people in Chico, CA. She has also interned as a chaplain intern at Campbell-Stone Apartments, an affordable residence for senior citizens (Buckhead, GA), and as an intern at the Grinnell College’s Center for Religion, Spirituality, and Social Justice.
In her prior legal experience, she worked as a summer intern at Mayer Brown, LLP’s DC office in 2018, on the paralegal support team, the Global Trade Department, as well as in the library, in Dockets, and Electronic Discovery Services. In high school, she interned for two years at the Law Office of Neal and Haney, a local small DC guardianship and landlord-tenant legal office. She is also an alumnus of the Just the Beginning – A Pipeline Organization’s Summer Legal Institute for high school students interested in pursuing law.
