Ashley Brickhouse is a Civil Rights Fellow at Relman Colfax. Ashley joined the firm in 2024 and works in the civil rights litigation group.
Ashley is a recent graduate from Howard University School of Law, where she served as the Managing Editor of the Howard Human & Civil Rights Law Review and as a student attorney in the Fair Housing Clinic. During her time in law school, Ashley held internships at the NAACP Office of the General Counsel and Washington Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs where she worked on a range of civil rights issues from housing justice to voter protection. Ashley was also involved in student organizations such as the Education Law Society, Howard Public Interest Law Society, and the National Black Law Students Association (NBLSA)
While in law school, Ashley was awarded the J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association Women’s Committee book scholarship, Howard Law Class of 2010 scholarship, and the Letitia James HBCU memorial scholarship. Ashley was also awarded the highest pro-bono award offered by Howard Law for completing more than 600 pro bono hours.
Prior to law school, Ashley worked at the Student Advocacy and Inclusion Office at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. In her free time, Ashley enjoys puzzles, playing volleyball, and exploring different areas around the DMV.
